Account Deletion
How to permanently delete your Bouge account and what happens to your data.
📱 Delete Your Account Inside the Bouge App
Account deletion can be done directly inside the Bouge app. You do not need to contact support or email us to delete your account.
Steps to Delete Your Account
- Open Bouge Launch the Bouge app on your device.
- Go to Profile Navigate to your Profile tab in the app.
- Tap Delete Account Find and tap the "Delete Account" option.
- Confirm Follow the confirmation steps to permanently delete your account.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
🗑️ Deleted Data
- Phone number
- Profile information
- Authentication tokens
- Personal identifiers
- Account settings
📋 What May Remain
- Messages (anonymized)
- Audit logs (if applicable)
- Aggregated analytics data
⚠️ Important Notes
- Messages you sent may remain visible to other group participants but will be disassociated from your personal identifiers.
- Once your account is deleted, this action cannot be undone.
- You will lose access to all your groups and message history.
- If you wish to use Bouge again, you will need to create a new account.
⏱️ Data Retention Period
Soft delete immediately: Your account is deactivated immediately upon deletion.
Full removal within 30 days: Complete removal of personal identifiers and account data occurs within 30 days of deletion, unless otherwise required by law or for fraud prevention purposes.
